Scotland and a few more days …
June 20, 2003
So what a week I have ahead of me. Fantastic! This Monday, I go to Scotland for a show. On Tuesday Night, I head to Paris (hopefully) with Sophie. On Friday, I have my last Late Night with Colton Dunn … who leaves next Tuesday, forever. But I’ll be sad about it in Los Angeles, because I go there on Tuesday, too. Of course, Colton’s birthday is next Monday, so there’ll be at least one more day of celebration first.
A certain week of Highs and Lows. New friends leaving, and Old ones getting reunited.
Tonight’s Heineken Late Night is XXL — meaning, there’s a 600 person party after in the theatre, with DJ and Acrobats and MTV people. I have a Gamecube and I play Zelda constantly. I’m very proud and very happy, and I wish I could share this with all of you, so very very very badly. If I win the Lotto, I’m going to bring everyone out to visit.

More Commercials, and a visit …?
June 12, 2003
I’ve scored another Phillips commercial. Bringing the total voice over work to 3. It’s a really sweet deal. No auditions, no nothing. Just come in, record, leave. Make money. I’ve got a nice reel for LA, when I return in a year.
Right. I’m here for another year, still.
But …
I’m coming to visit soon. Like, July? 2nd. I’ll be busy for the first few days, but then be free to hang out with all.
Maybe JD will let me play a guest slot. ^__-
Let the party begin.
A week of little sleep …
June 8, 2003
Well, not exactly. More like 50 hours with little sleep.
On Wednesday (Or Wonsdaaaggg as it seems to be called in Dutch), Suzi and I went to my favorite Japanese resturaunt, and ate Shabu Shabu courtesy of the delightful Noriko (so cute, this little waitress — oh dear, so cute!). Then, in the morning, we took the train to Brussels (which seemed like an unfamilar Amsterdam, at least where we were hanging out), and attended “Los Angeles” — Sophie’s first gallery debut. I was quite impressed with the quality of work, and also the number of people there. I met Manu, Marie and Val (and many others), and we ate Indian food which gave me a deathly poisoning. The trip back was 3hr40min long, and we had a 7:15 call for a day long corporate … and then there was a show, and a Late Night … so 19 hours of work after throwing up all night. But it’s well paid!
I got an email from Phillips today, and they’re using my voice over for their new national campaign. Things are swell in Holland.

Update Update Update
June 2, 2003
Hello hello hello from the caffinated Centrum of Amsterdam.
So here are a few of the things I’ve realized I haven’t posted data on.
When the alumni were in town, there was a huge Boom Softball game on the Museumplein. 10 years of Boom taking an 18 incher to task. And people recognizing the Meyers bros from Television. More errors than saves — and Brendan screaming at me for whatever I did wrong — but I did get the play of the game (leaping catch tag-out) before I jammed my thumb into two months of pain.
A Squirtgun match on the Leidseplein. Veil, Colton, Girl and me running around in the rain (it was hot and sunny before we bought guns — just more of the unaccountable maliciousness of the universe) … John Woo style shoot outs and laughing child-style.
Corporate Show at PINC; waking up at six in the morning to go to Centraal Station and train to a show 2 hours away just to do a single five minute improv game and net 80 Euro. And we got giant free stuffed Polar Bears.
My parents visit. Plenty of dinners and no great food. A wonderful evening with Suzi, Paige, and Mom and Dad. Suzi cooks dinner, I cook dessert, and then we all watch Potter at a rented apartment where my parents are staying.
Paige, Colton and 10 others playing Hide-and-Go seek in an abandoned Nightclub. Terrified ghost story-style stuff and throwing chairs from 3 stories into the street till the cops came. (If you’re my parents, don’t read this last entry).
We’re a bunch of kids. And there’s no guilt because we’re doing our job well and getting paid. I got a voice over for a commercial for Phillips. And a free hair dryer from them, too.
I play the Harry Potter trading card game every day. And I’m going to Belgium to see Sophie’s Expo this week. Great Japanese food. Pancakes at the Prinsingracht with Fred and Suzi and Sophie. Time to straighten my hair for tonight’s show.
