Jesus Christ Superstar
June 17, 2004
Every year here at Boom, our Tech booth hippie Steven creates a light show to accompany Jesus Christ Superstar. It was last night, and it was fantastic. I can’t imagine how many cues there were for him, but the changes and originality seemed endless. Sorry I didn’t get any photos >_<.
One of the big things I miss about Los Angeles is the passionate environment. Every friend had a different personal project going on, and that kind of behavior only inspires more passion in other people. It’s funny, we have this stage and all this money, and no one does anything but Boom shows, usually.
Band of Brothers
June 16, 2004
On the recommendation of Matt Jones, I rented and watched all of Band of Brothers. It’s amazing.
It’s too bad the Japanese got us involved in WWII by bombing Pearl Harbor. Otherwise we might not have shaken the after-effects of the Great Depression (through the economic surge generated by military technology and production) and become a legitimate super power. Then we might not be in the mess we’re in in Iraq today.
Those are my thoughts before going to bed. Also, I had a terrible audition for Deuce Bigalow 2 today. Really awful.
Matt Jones and the Temple of Doom
June 7, 2004
Hey hey hoo, all!
This last week saw the arrival of Matt Jones in Amsterdam. He’s on his way again, now, into the great European beyond, but while he was here, he played a Late Night and got drunk a whole bunch. Not to mention, he made a great impression on the Boom Uppers (Pep and Andrew). I can only hope that it means good things for his future.
I’ve got a cold again. Gross. Think I caught it from exhaustion or the terrible corporate we did in the middle of a forest in Utrecht yesterday.
